Journey Description:
This 8-week journey is designed to empower Cousins to reclaim their energy by understanding, setting, and maintaining boundaries as an act of liberation. Rooted in social work principles, The Resilience Toolkit by Nkem Ndefo, and creative practices, this course centers the unique experiences of individuals navigating burnout in personal and professional spaces. Cousins will explore how systemic factors, cultural identity, and emotional barriers impact their ability to establish boundaries. Through weekly journaling, artistic practices, and curated resources, Cousins will create a personalized boundaries toolkit to support sustainable self-care, enhance their creativity, and foster long-term well-being. This course is a call to disrupt burnout culture and prioritize thriving over mere survival.
About the Intention:
This course is rooted in a rich tapestry of creative practices and cultural exploration. Each session weaves together journaling, artistic expression, and cultural storytelling to help you reclaim your energy and redefine boundaries on your own terms. The course honors the unique experiences of BIPOC individuals, providing tools and insights that are culturally affirming and grounded in the power of community.
You’ll be guided through practices such as drawing, writing, collage-making, and visual storytelling, inspired by our traditions, to transform your reflections into meaningful expressions. By centering cultural identity in boundary setting, we’ll explore how your heritage and values can shape practices that feel authentic and liberating. This is more than a course—it’s an act of creative and cultural empowerment.
